Impressive bowling by S B Lorence and Suryasnata Swain enabled Odisha maul Mizoram by 10 wickets in their third Elite Group-E league match of the BCCI Under-19 Women One-Day Tournament at RCA Academy Ground in Jaipur today. This was the first win for Odisha U-19 women, who earlier lost to Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh.

Batting debacle resulted in the defeat of Mizoram, who were skittled out for a paltry 27 after captain Mami won the toss and chose to bat. She turned out to be their top scorer with eight runs to her name. Lorence and Suryasnata destroyed the Mizoram batting line-up, capturing four and three wickets respectively, while Jyoti Prasad picked up a brace.

Chasing 28 runs for victory, Orisha romped home in 3.5 overs, thanks to an unbeaten 23 by captain Subhra Nirjharini Swain, who faced 19 balls and hit five boundaries. Odisha wicket-keeper Dipty Bhengra also did a good job, effecting two stumpings and taking one catch.
