Odisha Sports Minister Tusharkanti Behera inaugurated the 4th National Para Badminton Championship at East Coast Railway Indoor Stadium in Bhubaneshwar today. Matches are also being played Udaan Badminton Academy, Patia.

State Sports Department Secretary R Vineel Krishna, Paralympic Committee of India President Deepa Malik, Para-Badminton India Chairman K Prabhakar Rao, State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities Sulochana Das, Para Sports Association Odisha President Kamala Kanta Rath and UDAAN Badminton Academy Chairman Ashok Mishra were present on the occasion.

Para Sports Association of Odisha along with the Department of Sports and Youth Services, Govt of Odisha is organising the three-day event in which over 500 para-shuttlers, including Para-Olympians, are said to be participating.

The is being organised by Para Sports Association Odisha with the support of Department of Sports & Youth Services, Government of Odisha, under the aegis of Paralympic Committee of India and Badminton Association of India.
