Odisha Cricket Association today announced a 20-member State U-16 Boys Team for the upcoming Vijay Merchant Trophy Tournament, scheduled to be played at different venues in Guwahati, Assam from 9th January 2022. Shreyansh Bharadwaj will lead the team with Karan Mohapatra as his deputy.

Vijay Merchant Trophy will be played in two-day (90 overs) format from the season 2021-22. Earlier it was played in three-day format. Odisha will play their four league matches against Assam, Bengal, Jharkhand and Tripura.
