Host Paramount Sportings emerged champions in the 2nd Sidhanta Patnaik Memorial U-13 Cricket League, defeating Pragati Sporting in the final at Paramount Sportings Ground in Bhubaneswar today. Paramount captain Sidharth Shankar Behera was adjudged Player of the Match for his match-winning knock of 70.
State Science & Technology Minister Ashok Chandra Panda graced the closing ceremony as chief guest. Bhubaneswar Athletic Association Secretary Sourya Ranjan Parija, Paramount Sportings President Pratap Jena and Cricket Secretary Ashok Patra were present on the occasion.
The tournament, featuring eight club sided from twin city Bhubaneswar and Cuttack was organised by Paramouont Sportings. Bhubaneswar Athletic Association Secretary Sourya Ranjan Parija graced the opening ceremony as chief guest earlier on December 26.
