  Rameswar Sporting-A Juniors lift Rameswar Cup

Rameswar Sporting-A emerged champions in the Rameswar Cup Junior (U-15) Cricket Tournament, defeating Paramount Sportings in the final by four wickets at BM High School Ground, Old Town, Bhubaneswar today. The champion team received a cash prize of Rs 11,111, while the runners-up were given Rs 6,666.

The tournament was organised by Rameswar Sporting, in the memory of Amarendra Prasad Bal. Rameswar Sporting President Suresh Kumar Routray inaugurated the tournament and also handed over the trophy in the closing ceremony.

Bhubaneswar Athletic Association Secretary Sourya Ranjan Parija and Rameswar Sporting General Secretary Deepak Mangaraj were present on both the occasions.

INDIVIDUAL PRIZES: Player of the Tournament: Swayam Panda (Rameswar Sporting-A). Best Batsman: Subhashis Mallick (Rameswar Sporting-A). Best bowler: Aniket Mohanty (Paramount Sportings). Best fielder: Aryan Nayak (Oscar Sporting). Most Promising Cricketer: Jagdish Mohapatra (Rameswar Sporting-A).

January 5 (Match 1, QF):
Rameswar Sporting-A 337/2 in 40 overs (Subhashis Mallick 154, Swayam Panda 118*) beat Oscar Sporting 137/10 in ? overs (Aayan Nayak 50; Subhashis Mallick 2/12, Swayam Panda 2/13, Subhrakant Parida 2/15, Jagdish Mohapatra 2/32) by 200 runs. Joint-PoM: Subhashis Mallick 2/12, Swayam Panda.

January 6 (Match 2, QF): Town Club 113/10 in 28 overs (Rahul Panda 31; Himanshu Sahu 3/14, Biswajit Pradhan 3/31) lost to Bharat Bhusan Cricket Academy 114/4 in 22 overs (Biswajit Pradhan 65*; Mahima Amlan 4/29) by 6 wickets. PoM: Biswajit Pradhan.

January 8 (Match 3, 1st SF): Rameswar Sporting-A 216/6 in 40 overs (Swayam Prakash Panda 79, Subashis Mallick 22; Sai Sankar Samal 2/20) beat Bharat Bhusan Cricket Academhy 48/10 in 26 overs (Swayam Prakash Panda 6/8, Soham Pattanaik 3/4). PoM: Swayam Prakash Panda.

January 9 (Match 4, QF): Rameswar Sporting-B 153/10 in 36 overs (Priyansu Prasad 76; Abhisek Senapati 4/34) lost to Greens Cricket Academy 155/1 in 28 overs (Mayank Pattnaik 73, Ayush Chand 56) by 9 wickets. PoM: Mayank Pattnaik.

January 10 (Match 5, QF): Paramount Sportings 202/9 in 40 overs (S Taufel 31, M Kausik 29; Slok Thakur 3/39) beat Saheed Sporting 50/10 in 27.3 overs (Aniket Mohanty 5/11) by 152 runs. PoM: Aniket Mohanty.

January 11 (Match 6, 2nd SF): Paramount Sportings 205/8 in 40 overs (SS Behera 48; A Chand 5/11) beat Greens Cricket Academy 96/10 in 31 overs (Sk Naquib 4/18, A Mohanty 4/27) by 109 runs. PoM: Sk Naquib.

January 12 (Match 7, Final): Paramount Sportings 129/6 in 25 overs (Rudra Mallick 55, S Taufel 23; Binod Kumar 2/28) lost to Rameswar Sporting 131/6 in 24 overs (Akash Mohapatra 85*; Aniket Mohanty 3/21) by 4 wickets. PoM: Akash Mohapatra.
