After bagging seven medals within four days, host Odisha remained medal-less for the next three days in the ongoing IWLF Youth, Junior and Senior National Weightlifting Championships at Biju Patnaik Indoor Stadium in KIIT University, Bhubaneswar.
Among eight Odisha lifters, who performed between March 25 to 27, Sangeeta Padhy was most successful, finishing sixth in junior women 64kg category. She also competed in the same weight category for senior women, finishing ninth.
ODISHA RESULTS:
March 25:
Junior Men 81kg: Nandan Kumar Sahu finished 19th, lifting 110kg in snatch, 135kg in clean & jerk and 245kg in total.
Senior Men 81kg: Anil Kumar Sahu finished 10th, lifting 125kg in snatch, 161kg in clean & jerk and 286kg in total, while Manoj Kumar Sahu finished 20th with efforts of 116kg in snatch, 143kg in clean & jerk and 259kg in total.
March 26:
Youth Women 64kg: Tikimohini Mallik finished 12th, lifting 58kg in snatch, 73kg in clean & jerk and 132kg in total.
Junior Women 64kg: Sangeeta Padhy finished sixth with lifts of 74kg in snatch, 90kg in clean & jerk and 164kg in total, while Debaki Khilla finished ninth, lifting 63kg in snatch, 86kg in clean & jerk and 149kg in total.
Senior Women 64kg: Sangeeta Padhy finished ninth with lifts of 74kg in snatch, 90kg in clean & jerk and 164kg in total.
March 27:
Junior Women 71 kg: Monali Sahu finished 11th, lifting 69kg in snatch, 90kg in clean & jerk and 159kg in total.
