Odisha girls and boys teams won silver and bronze medal respectively in the Sub-junior (U-14) National Rugby Championship, which was held at Gymkhana Sports Complex in Secunderabad, Telangana on 5th and 6th March 2022.

Bihar won both the boys and girls gold medal to clinch a double crown. Jharkhand boys won the silver medal, while Maharashtra girls took the bronze.

In the girls finals, Odisha lost to Bihar 0-10. Odisha girls reached the final, defeating West Bengal 5-0. In the quarterfinals, Odisha girls beat Tamil Nadu 15-5. Odisha girls qualified for the quarterfinals, defeating Uttarakhand 40-00, Haryana 50-0 and Uttarakhand 35-0 at the league stage.

Odisha boys settled for bronze medal, getting the better of West Bengal 15-5. Earlier in the semifinals, Odisha boys went down to Bihar 5-15. Odisha boys beat Andhra Pradesh 40-5. In the league stage, Odisha boys beat Uttarakhand 35-5, Jammu & Kashmir 10-0 and Uttar Pradesh 35-0.
