An unbeaten 77 by Abinash Singh helped Bhadrak beat Balasore by two wickets in their Gold Group play-off match of the Kalahandi Cup Senior Men Inter-District Cricket Tournament at Ravenshaw University Ground-1 in Cuttack today.

With this win, Bhadrak qualified for the Super League, where they joined Bhubaneswar-A, East Coast Railway, Cuttack-A and Jharsuguda, who have already qualified from Diamond Group.

Balasore will now wait to play against the winners from the play-off match in the Silver Group.

Match 61 (At Ravenshaw University Ground-1, Cuttack): Balasore 237/10 in 50 overs (Rajib L Sahu 82, Nauttam Bhanja 45, Ronald Das 43, Nirbishankar Barik 26; Kshyama Sagar Bal 3/18, Nihar N Bhuyan 2/34, Harshit Rathod 2/37) lost to Bhadrak 241/8 in 48.5 overs (Sahil A Khan 82, Abinash Singh 77*, Subha S Barik 3/45, Suman S Ojha 2/31) by 2 wickets.
