Hurdler Pragyan, a trainee of Bhubaneswar-based Odisha Reliance Foundation Athletics High Performance Centre, secured the silver medal clocking 59.48 seconds. R Arathi of Calicut University won the gold in 59.10 seconds, while Gudiya of Ram Manohar Lohia University took the bronze in 1:00.09 seconds.

With two medals today, the total number of medals collected by Odisha sportspersons for different universities increased to nine (two gold, five silver, two bronze). KIIT, which hosted the first edition of KIUG, continued to be the most successful Odisha university in the onging edition with a total of five medal (2 gold, 1 silver, 2 bronze).

Host Jain University led the medal tally with a total of 27 medals, which included 16 gold, six silver and five bronze.
