Saroja Panda slammed a thunderous 157 to power Nuapada to a 197-run win over Malkangiri in their Silver Group match of the Kalahandi Cup Senior Men Inter-District Cricket Tournament at DRIEMS Ground, Tangi, Cuttack today. Saroja hit 13 boundaries and 14 sixes in his 82-ball whirlwind knock to be adjudged the Player of the Match.
Kendrapara, Paradip, Balangir, Rayagada and Puri posted wins in five other matches of the day. Among other outstanding performers of the day, Gourav Rout and Lalu Mohanty bagged six wickets each for Nuapada and Puri respectively.
