ABOUT GRASSROOTS SWIMMING CENTRES: * JSW Group has set up nine Grassroots Swimming Centre across the State. * The Centres are located in Bhubaneswar, Boudh, Sonepur, Ganjam, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Bolangir, Sambalpur and Jajpur. * The Grassroots Centres aim at getting more children to take up swimming as a life skill and create a performance pathway for swimmers in the state. * Sumit Kumar Sahoo, Senior Swim Teacher, Odisha-JSW Grassroots Swimming Training Centre, Bhubaneswar. * According to Sahoo, boys and girls, aged 5-12 years, have been learning swimming at the Bhubaneswar Grassroots Training Centre inside Kalinga Stadium. * Five to six batches of trainees, comprising 30 children in each batch, are being trained at the centre. * Training takes place in two sessions _ morning 6-8 AM and evening 4-7 PM. * Three coaches have been engaged for each batch of trainees.
