Deep Ranjan Bisoyee secured bagged the bronze by reaching semifinals in mens SL3-SL4 doubles with Mohammad Arwaz Ansari as his partner. However, in the semifinals, Bisoyee and Ansari went down to Thailand duo of Mongkhon Bunsun and Siripong Teamarrom 18-21-16-21.

Bhubaneswar shuttler Bisoyee also participated in the mens SL4 singles event. He reached quarterfinals before losing to fellow Indian Tarun 5-21, 13-21 earlier on May 20.

Gadela Dillaswar Rao was the third shuttler from Odisha to compete in the Bahrain Para Badminton International. He, however, bowed out from the league stage in mens SL3 singles event, winning one and losing two matches in Group E.

India bagged a total of 23 medal, including seven golds at the Bahrain tournament. They will nex compete in the 4th Fazza Dubai Para Badminton International, scheduled to be held from 24 to 29 May 2022.
