Olympian Srabani Nanda and National record holder Amiya Kumar Mallick clinched a coveted double for host Odisha, winning the women and men 100m title respectively in the Indian Grand Prix-4 Athletics Competition at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar today.
Running her first 100m in around a year, Srabani won the race comfortably with a timing of 11.87 seconds. This was the second IGP title within a week for the Odisha sprinter, who had won the 200m event at the IGP-3 at the iconic Kalinga Stadium earlier on May 21.
In mens 100m sprint, Amiya Mallick too scripted a convincing win, clocking 10.74 seconds. His junior Statemate Aryan Ekka made it 1-2 for Odisha, finishing second with a timing of 10.86 seconds. It was role reversal for Mallick and Ekka who had claimed the 200m third and second position respectively at the IGP-3.
