Adrika Pattnaik emerged as a new tennis talent of Odisha, winning her maiden U-14 girls doubles title in the the AITA Championship Series Tournament at Singha Sports Academy in Jalandhar, Punjab today. She also finished U-14 singles runner-up and reached U-16 singles semifinals.

Bhubaneswar girl Adrika bagged the doubles crown with Madhya Pradesh partner Navika Kausal. In the final, they beat Punjab pair of Karvy Singh and Revalee 6-2, 2-6, 10-5. In U-14 singles final, Adrika went down fighting to Jay Singh 4-6, 4-6.

Student of KIIT International School, Adrika has been training at the Farhan Tennis Academy in Patia, Bhubaneswar, under the coaching of Farhal Ali. She is the daughter of engineer Prasanta Kumar Pattnaik and Rojalina Swain.
