Indian women football team won both of their international friendlies in Jordan, defeating Egypt and host Jordan at the Prince Mohammed Stadium in Zarqa, Jordan on April 5 and 8 respectively. Two players from Odisha _ Pyari Xaxa and Manisha Panna _ were part of the 23-member Indian women team.
Forward Manisha Kalyan was the protagonist in the win over Jordan as she netted a goal in the 48th minute to help the Blue Tigresses get their second victory on the trot. Earlier, India defeated Egypt by the same margin at the same venue. Manisha Kalyan also scored the all-important goal in the 30th minute.
