  Sr Women T20: Odisha make winning start

Odisha rode on a half-century each by openers Madhuri Meheta and Kajal Jena, and a two-wicket haul by Priyanka Priyadarshini to beat Chhattisgarh by 71 runs in their opening Elite Group-B match of the Senior Women T20 League at St Xaviers KCA Cricket Ground in Trivandrum, Kerala today.

Opting to bat, Odisha compiled a healthy total of 150 for two and then restricted Chhattisgarh to 79 for five. Madhuri was the top scorer for Odisha with an unbeaten 66 (53 balls, 8x4), while Kajal hit 60 (56 balls, 7x4, 1x6). Priyanka was most successful Odisha bowler, taking two wickets for 13 runs.
