  Kalahandi Cup: Pratik Das hits 115 in KIIT win

Pratik Das hit a 67-ball 115 (9x4, 9x6) to power Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) to a six-wicket win over Ganjam in their first Gold Group match of the Kalahandi Cup Senior Men Inter-District Cricket Tournament at East Coast Railway Stadium in Bhubanesar today.

Angul beat Bargarh by five wickets, Bhadrak beat Boudh by five wickets, Balasore thrashed Dhenkanal by eight wickets, Keonjhar got the better of Koraput by 59 runs and Nayagarh prevailed over Jagatsinghpur by five wickets in five other matches of the day.

Balasore captain Nauttam Bhanja was another star performer of the day, bagging three wickets for 38 runs and hitting an unbeaten 92 (66 balls, 9x4, 5x6).

(At Ravenshaw University Ground-1, Cuttack): Bargarh 222/10 in 48.3 overs (Rupak Pradhan 70, Pritam Jena 45, Devendra Kunwar 41; Deepak Tiwari 4/46, Milan Samal 3/29) lost to Angul 223/5 in 44 overs (Nirnimesh Jena (Capt) 79*, Rakesh Gochhayat 55, Sohamraj Mahapatra 23, Kranti Amanta 21; Pritam Jena 2/38, Pikesh Swain 2/41) by 5 wickets. Match 34 (At Khordha Stadium, Khordha): Dhenkanal 205/10 in 45.3 overs (Mohammad Suleman 49, Laxmidhar Sahoo 32, Anwesh Das 26; Sekhar Majhi 3/32, Nauttam Bhanja 3/38, Nirbishankar Barik 2/34) lost to Balasore 208/2 in 35.5 overs (Nauttam Bhanja 92*, Rajib Sahu 74*, Dibyashakti Chakrabarty 28; Sunil Sahoo 2/52) by 8 wickets.
