Indian Arrows, the Developmental team of All India Football Federation (AIFF), held local favourites Sports Odisha to a goalless draw in the eighth match of the Hero Indian Women League (IWL) at the OSAP 7th Battalion Ground in Bhubaneswar today.

Sports Odisha goalkeeper Sasmita Parida was awarded as the Player of the Match. Despite sharing points in the drawn match, Indian Arrows and Sports Odisha occupied the top two places in the league table with four points each from two matches.

From the first instance, the game seemed to be a cagey affair. Indian Arrows kept a good share of the possession as they created a few chances but failed to find the target. Sports Odisha on the other hand made some good moves based on the counter-attack but couldn`t break the deadlock.

After the halftime break, Sports Odisha seemed to be sharper in their organisation. Manisa Panna created a good chance from the freekick but the Arrows defence was alert to neutralise the threat.

Sports Odisha completely dominated the second half. In spite of the continuous pressing game, the Arrows sustained the pressure and made sure they earned a clean sheet for themselves. The deadlock remained till the last minute as none of the sides could find the back of the net.
