Odisha posted fourth win on the trot in the Elite Group-B of the BCCI Senior Women T20 League, defeating Jharkhand by 16 runs at Greenfield Stadium in Trivandrum, Kerala today. Odisha had won their first three matches against Chhattisgarh, Bihar and Tripura.
Opting to bat in the truncated match after captain Madhusmita Behera won the toss, Odisha made 106 for three in 12 overs and then restricted Jharkhand to 90 for seven. Kajal Jena was the top scorer for Odisha, hitting a 22-ball 39. Sarita Meher also shone with the bat, scoring an unbeaten 28.
Among Odisha bowlers, Sujata Mallik and Priyanka Priyadarshini picked up two wickets each. Odisha will play their fifth and last league match against Tamil Nadu on April 24.
