  15 Sports Change Leaders complete their training

As many as 15 Sports Change Leaders completed their training at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar today. The 10-day-long training on the body-mind-inner self transformation techniques was provided by Odisha Skilled Development Authority (OSDA) and Tata Strive.

They were presented certificates by OSDA Chairman Subroto Bagchi, State Sports Secretary R Vineel Krishna, Tata STRIVE CEO Anita Rajan, Directorate of Technical Education and Training Director Reghu G and Odisha Naval Tata Hockey HPC Director Rajiv Seth at the Kalinga Stadium.

 

Appointed as teachers in 17 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) of Odisha, these leaders will help in holistic development of the students. They will train the students to be both physically and mentally fit. Most of these leaders are former athletes of Odisha Sports Hostels run by the State Government.

Sports and Youth Services Department in collaboration with Odisha Skill Development authority had launched the program #LetsPlayITIs, which had been designed and implemented by Tata STRIVE.

However, names of the 15 Sports Change Leaders have not been disclosed, by the State Sports & Youth Services Department in its press release.
