Odisha bagged four medals in the National Sub-junior & Junior Classic Powerlifting Championship, which was held at Municipal Town Hall, Kasaragod, Kerala from 10-14 August 2022. The four medals consisted one gold, two silver and one bronze.

A total of powerlifters, incuding five women, represented Odisha in this National champonship. Among them, Priyabrata Bisoyee pocketed squat gold and overall bronze in junior men 105kg weight class.

Dibyalekha Mishra secured silver medal in junior women 76kg deadlift, while Baibhabeswar Sahu captured the other silver medal in sub-junior men 53kg deadlift. Gangadhar Bisoyee was the coach and manager of the Odisha squad.

Girls: Selina Swayangprava Sathua (43kg), Shushree Mohapatra (55kg), Shrabani Jena (63kg), Dibyalekha Mishra (76kg), Amisa Rani (84kg).
Boys: Badal Baliarsingh (53kg), Shahir Kishor Sahu (59kg), Debi Prasad Mohanty (74kg), Kamaljit Naik (93kg), Baibhabeswar Sahu (53kg), Sanket Mohapatra (59kg), Biswajit Swaraj Prakash Parida (66kg), Soumen Senapati (66kg), Bhupenananda Padhi (74kg), Priyabrata Bisoyee (105kg), Amlan Mohanty (120kg).
