Odisha teams qualified for the semifinals by emerging toppers in respective groups at the league stage. In their three league matches, Odisha boys drubbed Chhattisgarh by an innings and three points, Andhra Pradesh 16-14 and Delhi 14-1.

Odisha girls won their three league games, defeating Rajasthan by an innings and 8 points; West Bengal by five points and Karnataka by an innings and 4 points. Odisha boys and girls teams featured 12 players each.
