Odisha players bagged two more doubles titles to script their best success story in the Fenesta Open National Tennis Championship, which concluded at the DLTA Tennis Complex in New Delhi today. The two titles were captured by Debasis Sahoo and Aradhyaa Verma in U-16 boys and U-14 girls categories respectively.
Earlier of October 16, Kabir Hans became the first player from Odisha to win a title at the Fenesta Open National Championship. He achieved the feat in mens doubles category with Oges Jaya Prakash of Tamil Nadu as his partner.
Junior Davis Cupper Dabasis emerged champion in U-16 boys doubles, partnering Tejas Ahuja of Haryana. They prevailed over Gujarat pair of Prabir Chavda and Vraj Gohil in the summit clash 6-4, 6-3. Debasis and Tajas started campaign as top seeds and won three matches in a row on their way to the final.
