Jajpur MLA and General Secretary of ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) was officially declared as the new President of Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) today. Electoral Officer M L Majumdar formally announced the names of the five office-bearers and one member of the Apex Council during the Annual General Meeting of the apex state cricket body at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack.
Das replaced industrialist Pankaj Lochan Mohanty, who assumed his new position as Vice-President. Sundargarh District Athletic Association Secretary Prabhat Kumar Bhol became the new Joint-Secretary. Sanjay Behera and Bikash Pradhan, however, retained their posts as Secretary and Treasurer respectively.
Pratap Chandra Pradhan of Angul district was declared as the new Apex Council Member. All office-bearers were earlier elected unopposed for a three-year term (2022-2025).
After taking charge, President Pranab Prakash Das said he would provide all sorts of help and assistance for the promotion of cricket in the State.
