Bhoi is also a long jumper and has the reputation of securing third position at the Indian Grand Prix-4 at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar earlier this year. He is a Commerce student of KISS University, Bhubaneswar.

DM Jayaram, also a trainee of Odisha Reliance Foundation Athletics High Performance Centre, captured the gold medal in U-18 mens 100 metre run with a timing of 10.83 seconds.

He too belongs to Kalahandi district and has the credit of winning one silver medal at the National Youth Athletics Championship in Bhopal earlier this year.

Ommkar Prasad Nanda claimed the gold medal in U-16 boys shot put event with an effor of of 18.34 metre. This was the second National Junior medal for Cuttack boy Ommkar, who had bagged bronze in the previous edition of the championship, which was also in Guwahati last year.
