  U-19 Cricket: Shubham shines in Deogarh win

Impressive allround performance by Shubham Biswal steered Deogarh to a 70-run win over Koraput in their preliminary league match of the OCA U-19 Inter-District Cricket Tournament at Adashpur Ground in Cuttack today. Shubham top-scored with 58 runs and captured six wickets for 28 runs.

Sundargarh, Jagatsinghpur and Keonjhar registered wins in three other matches of the day. Among notable performers, Akash Seikh hit 51 and picked up two wickets for Sundargarh.

9 September 2022 (Match 83: Ravenshaw Ground-1, Cuttack): Sambalpur 114/10 in 32 overs (Amar Bhoi 47; Abhishek Singh 2/19, Akash Seikh 2/23, Ansh Sharma 2/23, Piyush Panigrahi 2/29) lost to Sundargarh 112/7 in 24 overs (Akash Seikh 51, Pikun Mishra 26; Abhinab Nanda 2/19, Harshdeep Singh 2/26) by 3 wickets (DLS Method). 9 September 2022 (Match 84: Ravenshaw Ground-2, Cuttack): Kalahandi 102/10 in 31 overs (Sai Prayas Pattnaik 31; Abdul Tafique Khan 4/24, Jahid Khan 3/24) lost to Jagatsinghpur 94/9 in 24.1 overs (Ram Krishna Dash 24; Adwait Ishan Chand 6/35, Sai Prayas Pattnaik 3/16) by 1 wicket (DLS Method).
