Odisha FC made a winning start in the AIFF Elite Youth (U-17) League Football Tournament, defeating Hyderabad FC (Telangana) 1-0 in their opening Group-C match at Patliputra Sports Complex in Patna, Bihar today. Manjit Oram scored the match-winner in the 32nd minute.

Bhubaneswar-based Odisha FC would play a total of four matches in Group C. They will next meet Techtro Swades United FC (Himachal Pradesh) on December 31. Odisha FC are scheduled to play their third match against Young Heroes Club (Uttar Pradesh) on 4 January 2023 and the fourth and last against Alpha Sports Academy (Bihar) on 6 January 2023.

Odisha FC announced their 22-member squad on December 28. Ajit Kumar Behera is the coach of the team.
