  Jerseys launched for Odisha Women Football League

The jerseys of six participating teams of the Odisha Women League (OWL) 2022 was lauached at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar today. Football Association of Odisha (FAO) and the Department of Sports & Youth Services (DSYS), Government of Odisha are set to jointly organise the OWFL at three venues in Bhubaneswar from the 27 November to 21 December 2022.

State Sports Minister Tusharkanti Behera and FAO Secretary Asirbad Behera formally unveiled the jerseys. FAO Vice-President Dillip Kumar Sahoo, Joint-Secretaries Avijit Paul and Sangeeta Sharma, Treasurer Bhakta Ballav Das were present on the occasion along with captains, coaches and managers of all six participating teams.
 

OWFL will be a double-leg affair, featuring a total of 30 matches. East Coast Railway will take on new entrants Odisha FC in the opening match at Kalinga Stadium tomorrow. Last edition champions Odisha Police, runners-up Sports Odisha, Rising Student Club and Odisha Government Press Club are other four teams in the fray.

OSAP 7th Battalion Ground and Capital High School Ground are other two venues of the premier inter-club women football tournament of the State. The champion team of the OWFL will qualify for the Indian Women League (IWL), which would be conducted later by the All India Football Federation (AIFF).
