The surface of the court is: Rebound Ace Pro (Acrylic) and it was tested on 18 January 2023. The new tennis complex will be inaugurate by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on the occasion of the ITF Asia 14&U Development Championship Finals 2023, scheduled to be held from April 4 to 14.

“OTA is hosting the Asian Tennis Championship (Jr), a 15-nation event in Kalinga Stadium between 4-14 April. A grand centre court is ready. Hon CM will inaugurate the stadium. Govt of Odisha is supporting,” tweeted Tripathy, also the president of Bhubaneswar Club.

Meanwhile, The All India Tennis Association (AITA) has selected two boys and two girls to represent India in the ITF Asian U14 Championship Finals. The selected players are: Shivtej Balaprasad Shrifule, Prakaash Sarran (boys) and Harithashree Venkatesh and Maaya Rajeshwaran Revathi (girls). Saurav Kumar Panja has been named as the coach of the Indian team.
