Odisha registered a thumping nine-wicket win against Chandigarh in their second Group-A Super-Eight match of the 5th Nagesh Trophy National T20 Cricket Tournament for the Blind at AYR Cricket Ground in Hyderabad today.
This was the second straight win for Odisha and they qualified for the semifinals along with Andhra Pradesh, who also posted their second successive win today. Odisha and Andhra Pradesh will meet each other tomorrow to decide the top position in Group A.
Lingaraj Routray and captain Sukhram Majhi put up impressive performance for Odisha in their match against Chandigarh. Opting to bat, Chandigarh were bundled out for 60 in 19.5 overs. Rautara and Majhi shone with the ball for Odisha, capturing three and two wickets respectively.
In reply, Odisha chased down the target in 6.2 overs, losing only one wicket. Anjan Singh was the top scorer for Odisha with an unbeaten 29. Sukhram Majhi was adjudged as the man of the match for his fine bowling and fielding performances. In fielding he efected two run outs.
