Odisha girl Jyoshna Sabar made the State and the coutry proud by winning one silver and one bronze medal on the opening day of the Youth World Weightlifting Championships at the Ramazan Njala Sport Complex in Durres, Albania today.

Competing in women 40 kg weight class, Jyoshna lifted 53 kg in snatch, 62 kg in clean & jerk for a total of 115 kg. She secured the silver medal in snatch and the bronze in overall category respectively. In clean & jerk, Jyoshna finished sixth.

Ivy Buzinhani Brustello of Canada made weightlifting history when she won a world title at the age of 12 years 264 days in women 40 kg category. Brustello made a clean sweep of all three gold medals, lifting 53 kg in snatch, 67 kg in clean & jerk and 120 kg in total.
