  Diego Mauricio to stay with Odisha FC till 2025

Odisha FC today announced that their star striker Diego Mauricio had signed a new contract which would keep him at the club till 2025. The Brazilian contributed 12 goals and four assists to bag the Golden Boot in the recently concluded 9th Indian Super League (ISL).

Joining Odisha FC in the 2020-21 season, Mauricio has established himself as one of the top strikers in the league. The 31-year-old has been a fan favorite at the club, and his performances have earned him praise from fans and experts alike.

Odisha FC finished sixth and qualified for their first-ever ISL playoffs where they lost to ATK Mohun Bagan 0-2. Speaking about the contract extension, Diego Mauricio said, “I belong to Odisha. I love the people and the city.
 

The fans have shown me how much they love me. My family is very happy that I decided to say. I have had a great time here, and I am looking forward to continuing my journey with the club. I believe we can achieve great things together.”

KASHYAP JOINS ODISHA FC AS ASSISTANT COACH: On 28 March 2023, Odisha FC confirmed the appointment of experienced Indian coach, Santosh Kashyap as their First Team Assistant Coach.

Santosh Kashyap, former Indian International and AFC Pro License holder, has coached several clubs in the I-League and ISL, including Mohun Bagan, Mumbai FC, and Aizawl FC, among others. His tactical prowess and ability to get the best out of his players are well-known in the Indian footballing community.

CONTRACT EXTENDED FOR RAMFANGZAUVA: Odisha FC on 23 March 2023 announced
that it had extended the contract of Paul Ramfangzauva for two years. Ramfangzauva, who hails from Mizoram, joined Odisha FC in 2021 after a successful stint with Aizawl FC in the I-League. The 22-year-old midfielder made a cumulative of 20 appearances for Odisha FC in the Indian Super League, scoring three goals.
