Odisha settled with just one medal for the second successive day at the 4th Khelo India Youth Games (KIYG) 2022 in Madhya Pradesh today. The lone medal was a silver, which was secured by the junior men rowing team in JM4X event, clocking 3:17.90 at the Upper Lake in Bhopal.
The rowing team was consisted of Rahul Rathore, Sourabh, Kapeesh Kumar and Chandan Raja Swain. This was the first medal for Odisha in rowing and 24th overall for the State at the Khelo India Youth Games.
With the 24 medals, which featured 10 gold, five silver and nine bronze, Odisha held on to its fifth place in the medal tally at the end of Day 10. Maharashtra had an eight-gold day to cross the 100-medal.
While Maharashtra remained on top of the tally with 39 golds, Haryana and hosts Madhya Pradesh are still in a battle for second spot with the former ahead with 28 golds to 26 for Madhya Pradesh.
