  Futsal Club Championship: Odisha end journey with win

The campaign of Sports Odisha in the Futsal National Club Championship ended on a winning note for the Odisha State Government team as they beat Techtro Swadesh United FC 6-5 in their sixth and last Group-A match at KD Jadhav Hall, Indira Gandhi Sports Complex in New Delhi today. This was the second win for Sports Odisha, who finished sixth in the Group A with six points. They won two matches and lost four.

Delhi FC and Electric Veng FC secured the top two places in the group to advance to the semifinals. From Group B, Mohammedan Sporting and Minerva Academy FC booked semifinals berths. A total of 14 teams participated in the championship, which was conducted by the All India Football Federation.
 

Raisen Tudu was the top scorer for Sports Odisha with six goals to his name. The team scored a total of 20 goals and conceded 43 in their six games. Ajay Kumar Behera guided the Odisha team as its coach.

Feb 11 (Group-A): Delhi FC (Chanpreet Singh Bhui 13, 23, 39; K Roluahpuia 13, 37, 38; David Laltlansanga 18, George Ms Dawngliana 19, 21, 31; Isac Zomuanpuia 23, Gwgwmsar Gayary 26, 32; Lalremruata 32, 33; Jojo Zaihmingthanga 40) beat Sports Odisha (Lesson Kumar Munda 16, Jagannath Tudu 28, Sipu Behera 35) 16-3. PoM: George Ms Dawngliana.

Feb 12 (Group-A): Bengaluru FC (Clarence Savio Fernandes 6, Lalhmingchhuanga F 18, Vinith Venkatesh 24, Ashik Adhikari 29, 32, Nirmanyu Singh Atri 38) beat Sports Odisha (Raisen Tudu 2, D Sanjay 25) 6-2. PoM: Ashik Adhikari.

Feb 15 (Group-A): Sports Odisha (Raisen Tudu 3, 5; Parao Tudu 6, 37; D Sanjay 12, 12) beat Dzawo 11 FC (Tsering Dorjey 10, Stanzin Wangdan 19, 28; Padma Wangchok 35, Thinles Chospel 39) 6-5. PoM: Parao Tudu.

Feb 16 (Group-A): Sports Odisha (Raisen Tudu 3, 34; Parao Tudu 10, 31; D Sanjay 16, Jagannath Tudu 34) beat Techtro Swadesh United FC (Bhuvan Singh 6, Priyanshu 22, Rohit Chawla 27, Ankit Singh 32, 38) 6-5. PoM: Sk Raheman (Sports Odisha).
