Odisha made a sizzling star in the 5th Nagesh Trophy National T20 Cricket Tournament for the Blind, registering a 191-run win over Telangana in their opening Elite Group-C match at Lawrance & Mayo Public School in Ajmer (Rajasthan) todahy.
Captain Sukhram Majhi and Lalprasad Soren starred in the Odisha win, scoring a blistering century each. Opting to bat after winning the toss, Odisha compiled a humongous total of 333 for one in the stipulated 20 overs and then restricted Telangana to 142 for nine.
Leading the explosive batting power of Odisha from the front, Sukhram Majhi hit an unbeaten knock of 160 (63 balls) with the help of 31 boundaries. Lalprasad Soren was also equally explosive with the bat as he slammed 136 (61 balls), which included 25 fours.
Odisha will take on Delhi in their second league match at the same venue on February 15.
