Odisha Tennis Association (OTA) today felicitated Sohini Mohanty and Aradhyaa Verma for their stellar performance in the 4th Khelo India Youth Games at Indoor Tennis Complex in Bhopal, where they won the gold medal in girls doubles category earlier on February 9.

In a function at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar, Sohini and Aradyaa were felicitated and given cash incentives of Rs 25,000 each. Their coach, Syed Farhan Ali was also felicitated on the occasion.

OTA President Asit Tripathy, Secretary Satyajit Mohanty, Joint Secretary Saneeb Panda  and Sports Department Secretary R Vineel Krishna graced the felicitation function.

According to a press release, OTA has prepared a blueprint for organising more number of AITA tournaments in 2023-24 for better exposure and preparation of the players of the State to compete at national level tournaments.

OTA thanked the Sports Department of the State Government for sponsoring the players to participate at Khelo India Youth Games and creating better infrastructure for tennis in the state.
