Bhubaneswar shuttler Subhrajeet Maharana and his partner Ansari captured the bronze medal by reaching semifinals, where they lost to Nitesh Kumar and Tarun 9-21, 10-21. Maharana also competed in mens SL4 singles in which he lost to Jan-Niklas Pott (Germany) in the Round of 32.

Deep Ranjan Bisoyee and Gadela Dillaswar Rao were other two Odisha shuttlers in the fray. Bisoyee competed in three events _ mens SL4 singles, SL3-SL4 doubles and SL3-SU5 mixed doubles. He performed his best in mens doubles with Indian partner Manoj Sarkar by reaching quarterfinals, where they lost to Pramod Bhagat and Sukant Kadam 21-12, 17-21, 18-21.

In singles, Bisoyee was beaten lost by Hikmat Ramdani (Indonesia) in pre-quarterfinals and in mixed doubles reached Round of 32 with Indian partner Charanjeet Kaur. Dilllaswar Rao took part in mens SL3 singles and SL3-SL4 doubles with William Smith (England) as his partner.

In singles, Rao entered pre-quarterfinals before losing to Daisuke Fujihara (Japan) in straight games. In doubles, Rao and Smith bowed out at the group stage, losing both of their league matches.

Odisha shuttlers were accompanied by their coach Siba Prasad Das. The four Odisha players will also compete in the Level-1 tournament of the Spanish Para Badminton International, scheduled to be held in Toledo, Spain from 1 to 5 March 2023.
