Amrutjay Mohanty became the latest tennis player of Odisha to win his maiden All India Tennis Association (AITA) mens singles title today. Bhubaneswar player Amrutjay achieved the feat at the KT Global School AITA-OTA 1 Lakh Tournament, which concluded at KT Global School in Barunei, Khordha.

Amrutjay fought back from a set down to beat Yash Yadav of Madhya Pradesh in the final 1-6, 6-3, 7-6. The doubles title was won by Maharashtra duo of Maitreya Bhagat and Shivam Kadam. They defeated West Bengal and Nagaland combination of Md Fardeen and Khate Vilasier in the summit clash 6-4, 6-2.

A total of 70 players from different parts of the country participated in this tournament, which commenced on May 19. Jyoti Shankar Nanda was the match referee.
