Shiman Behera and Lima Sahoo will lead Odisha State boys and girls teams respectively in the 45th Sub-junior National Volleyball Championships, which is scheduled to be held at Chandernagore in Hooghly (West Bengal) from 27 May and 1 June 2023. Both the teams left for Hooghly today.

According to Odisha Volleyball Association General Secretary Dr Gaganendu Dash, both the boys and girls teams have been composed of 12 players each. They were accompanied by three coaches and two managers. The composition of the teams were finalised after a coaching camp which was held at KIIT University, Bhubaneswar.

BOYS: Shiman Behera (Captain), Suba Dharmu, Rajeeb Cochan Jena, Mohammad Afsar, Mukesh Kumar Pradhan, Debasish Jena, Subham Jena, Piyush Pratik Pradhan, Sashikant Behera, Pabitra Mohan Giri, Rohit Mohanty, Chandan Rout (Libero). Manager: Satya Ranjan Swain, Chief Coach: Susanta Kumar Panda.

GIRLS: Lima Sahoo (Captain), Nirupama Seth, Barsha Priyadarshini Pal, Itishree Rout, Punita Munda, Kabita Majhi, Kabita Singh, Purnima Singh, Lipika Xess, Barsharani Nayak, Nikita Ping, Pramila Majhi (Libero). Manager: Asit Kumar Pal, Chief Coach: Diya Mazumder, Assistant Coach: Ashutosh Patra.
