Pankaj Bhue bagged the mens long jump gold in T-13 category with a leap of 5.67 metres. This was the second medal for Bhue in the ongoing championship. Also a visually impaired international cricketer, Bhue had claimed mens 100m silver medal yesterday.

In the mens T-13 long jump, the silver and bronze medals were pocketed by Indian athletes Boddu Srihari and Sachin Rawal with efforts of 5.37m and 5.03m respectively.

Woman javelin thrower Suchitra Parida secured the silver medal in F-55 category with an effort of 14.10 metre. This was the first international medal for Suchitra who is also set to compete in shot put tomorrow.

The gold medal in womens F-55 javelin throw was bagged by Sakhi Kasan of India, hurling the spear to a distance of 15.53 metres, while Jesebel Tordecilla of Philippines settled for the bronze with an effort of 13.85 metres.

With three medals today, the contribution of Odisha to the tally of India has become six, which include three gold, two silver and one bronze. Prafulla Kumar Khandayatray had won the bronze medal in mens shot put yesterday.
