  Odisha tennis players shine at all India tournaments

Five players from Odisha won titles or finished runners-up in different All India Tennis Association (AITA) tournaments, held between August 7 and 18. They were: Priyanshi Panigrahi, Subhranil Barman, Sai Rupi Mohanty, Suryansh Thatoi and Aditya Bikram Acharya.

Priyanshi and Subhranil won the girls and boys singles title respectively in the AITA-OTA U-18 Championship Series Tournament, which was organized by IIG Sports Academy at KT Global School in Barunei, Khordha from 14 to 18 August 2023.

Priyanshi is a trainee of KIIT-Alexander Waske-Altevol Tennis Academy, Bhubaneswar and Subhranil belongs to Gurukul Tennis Academy, Mendhashal, Bhubaneswar.

 

Sai Rupi finished girls singles runner-up in the MOSF AITA-OTA U-12 Talent Series Tournament, which was held at Gurukul Resorts & Country Club, Mendhashal, Bhubaneswar from 14-18 August 2023. She is hons her skill at Farhan Ali Tennis Academy, Bhubaneswar.

Suryansh settled as boys doubles runners-up, also at the MOSF AITA-OTA U-12 Talent Series Tournament in Mendhashal. He belongs to Cuttack District Tennis Association and trains at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack.

Aditya reached boys doubles final before finishing runners-up in the AITA U-16 National Series Tournament at Joygaon Tennis Academy in Jhajjar, Haryana today. He is a cadet of KIIT-Alexander Waske-Altevol Tennis Academy.
