  Sub-jr Natl Football: Mizoram eliminate Odisha 5-1

Odisha crashed out of the Sub-Junior Boys National Football Championship (Tire-1), losing to Mizoram 1-5 in their third and last Group-C match at DSA Ground in Malda, West Bengal today. This was the first defeat for Odisha, who won their first twom matches, defeating Maharashtra 1-0 and Kerala 2-0.

On the other hand, Mizoram qualified for the semifinals, winning all three of their group matches. Mizoram emerged group toppers with nine points, while Odisha finished second with six points. Aman Lakra led the 22-member Odisha team in this championship.

Odisha will play their lastw Group-C match against Mizoram on September 8 and the winner of that match will advance to the semifinals. Football Association of Odisha (FAO) has fielded a 22-member State team in this championship.

RESULTS OF ODISHA MATCHES:
September 4: Odisha (Aman Lakra 33rd, Abhinand CS 57th-OG) beat Kerala 2-0. PoM: Aman Lakra.
September 6: Odisha (Viky Majhi 90th) beat Maharashtra 1-0. PoM: Viky Majhi.
September 8: Odisha (Rema Munda 58) lost to Mizoram (Henry Lalhnehzova 22, 80, 90+5, Didika Lalruatdika 24, 38) 1-5. PoM: Henry Lalhnehzova.
