Odisha boys Ansuman Babu and Manmaya Pattnaik have been selected to represent India U-15 and U-18 teams respectively at the ISTF World Tour International Soft Tennis Championship 2023, scheduled to be held at Keita Resort & Spa Club Tennis Courts in Pattaya City, Thailand from July 26-30.

Ansuman hails from Sambalpur and played tennis before switching over to soft tennis. Currently, he studies in Class-XII at Venkateswar English Medium School, Bhubaneswar. He is the second son of of Sanjeev and Gayatri Babu.

Manmaya belongs to Rayagada district and studies in Class-IX at Sivananda Centenary Boys High School, Khandagiri, Bhubaneswar. Bhubaneswar North MLA, Priyadarshi Mishra felicitated Ansuman and Manmaya at his residence in Bhubaneswar today.

Odisha Soft Tennis Association (OSTA) president Bikash Chandra Pattnaik and general secretary Mohammad Azam were present at the felicitation function. Ansuman and Manmaya will leave Bhubaneswar tomorrow to join the Indian teams in Ahmedabad before leaving for Thailand.
