As many as five bodybuilding and physique sports athletes represented India at the World championships in South Korea. Other three were: Jagannath Khuntia, Suvam Mishra and Pupun Kumar Swain.

Jagannath Khuntia finished fifth in men 70kg bodybuilding event, while Suvam Mishra finished fifth in athletic physique below 175 cms category. Swain participated in the men physique competition.

Odisha bodybuilding and physique sports athletes were accompanied by Odisha Bodybuilding Association president Sumitra Tripathy. She also performed as an international judge there. The world championships were organised by World Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Federation (WBPF).
