Odisha shuttler Pragati Parida bagged the mixed doubles bronze medal in the 46th Junior (U-19) National Badminton Championship, which concluded at KBA Stadium, Bengaluru, Karnataka today. Pragati was the only medal winner among nine Odisha players who participated in the four-day championship.
Pragati settled for the bronze medal by reaching semifinals with Andhra Pradesh partner Bhargv Ram Arigela. Trainees of Bhubaneswar-based Odisha SAI Regional Badminton Academy, Pragati and Bhargav lost to top-seeded Telangana pair of Sathwik Reddy K and Vaishnavi Khadkekar in the semifinals 16-21, 22-20, 19-21.
