Odisha achieved its best ever success in lawn bowling by bagging two silver and five bronze medals at the 8th Senior & 4th U25 National State Lawn Bowls squad Championships, held in Guwahati, Assam from 23 September 2023.

State Bowling Association Odisha (SBAO), fielded a 14-member squad in these championships. Odisha U-25 team also bagged the runners-up trophy in the eight-day championship.

SBAO Secretary Sumit Ranjan Purohit thanked the Department of Sports & Youth Services, Government of Odisha for providing support for the preparation and participation of the State squad in the National Championships.

ODISHA MEDAL WINNERS:
Silver: Pratima Seth (U25 Girls singles).
Silver: Sourav Ranjan Maharana, Kailash Majhi, Dinesh Mahanand, Tarini Prasad Nayak (Men`s fours).
Bronze: Sk Abujalal (U25 Boys singles).
Bronze: Swetlana Bakshi (Women`s singles).
Bronze: Swetlana Bakshi, Roshni Sahu, Rajeswari Seth (Women`s triples).
Bronze: Padmasini Putel, Roshni Sahu, Bishnupriya Bohidar, Rajeswari Seth (Women`s fours).
Bronze: Kailash Majhi, Sourav Ranjan Maharana (Men`s pairs).
