  Sohini, Aradhyaa win Fenesta Open doubles titles

Odisha girls achieved impressive success with Sohini Mohanty and Aradhyaa Verma winning titles and Aahan finishing runner-up in the 28th Fenesta Open National Tennis Championship at the DLTA Complex in New Delhi today.

Junior international Sohini emerged U-16 doubles champion with Aakruti Narayan from Maharashtra as her partner. They beat Nainika Bendram (Maharashtra) and Ishi Maheshwari (UP) in the final 6-4, 6-4.
 

Aradhyaa, also a junior international, claimed the U-14 doubles crown, partnering Aleena Farid from West Bengal. In the title clash, they prevailed over Aahan (Odisha) and Akansha Ghosh (West Bengal) 6-1, 6-1.

Fenesta Open, organised by DCM Shriram Ltd, under the aegis of All India Tennis Association and Delhi Lawn Tennis Association, is the biggest domestic tennis tournament of India.

It has witnessed the participation of renowned Indian tennis players such as Rohan Bopanna, Somdev Devvarman, Yuki Bhambri, Sania Mirza and Rutuja Bhosale in the past editions.
