Hockey India today announced a 24-member Indian Men Hockey Team for the upcoming 5 Nations Tournament Valencia 2023, scheduled to be held in Valencia, Spain from December 15 to 22. Two players from Odisha have been selected in the Indian team. They are: Amit Rohidas and Nilam Sanjeep Xess.

India will play against hosts Spain, Germany, France and Belgium in the 5 Nations tournament, which will serve as the preparatory event ahead of the 2023-24 FIH Hockey Pro League games. Indian team will be led by ace drag-flicker Harmanpreet Singh. Sumit and Amit Rohidas have been named as vice-captains.

INDIAN MEN HOCKEY TEAM: Goalkeepers: Sreejesh Parattu Raveendran, Krishan Bahadur Pathak, Suraj Karkera. Defenders: Jarmanpreet Singh, Jugraj Singh, Amit Rohidas (VC), Harmanpreet Singh (C), Varun Kumar, Sumit (VC), Sanjay, Nilam Sanjeep Xess. Mid-fielders: Yashdeep Siwach, Vivek Sagar Prasad, Nilakanta Sharma, Rajkumar Pal, Shamsher Singh, Rabichandra Singh Moirangthem. Forwards: Mandeep Singh, Abhishek, Sukhjeet Singh, Lalit Kumar Upadhyay, Karthi Selvam, Dilpreet Singh, Akashdeep Singh.
