Odisha girl Sk Shazfa and West Bengal boy Monodip Dey were crowned as singles champions in the AITA-PDTA Championship Series U-14 Tennis Tournament, which concluded at Puri Club in Puri today. Dey also won the boys doubles title with his State-mate Shahbaaz Sanghera to clinch a double crown.

The tournament was organised by Puri District Tennis Association (PDTA), under the aegis of Odisha Tennis Association. Shreyan Pattanaik was another notable performer from Odisha, finishing boys singles runner-up. Shreyan trains at Ace Base Tennis Academy, Bhubaneswar, under coach Ajay Kumar Nishank.

OTA joint-secretary Sanjeeb Panda graced the prize distribution ceremony as chief guest. OTA treasurer Satyajit Mohanty, PDTA secretary Sunil Kumar Mohapatra and tournament referee Jatin Batsya were present on the occasion.

RESULTS (All finals):
Boys singles: Monodip Dey (WB) beat Shreyan Pattanaik (Odisha) 6-1, 6-0.
Boys doubles: Shahbaaz Sanghera & Monodip Dey (WB) beat Priyanshu Chakraborty & Iraj Kumar Shaw (WB) 6-4, 7-5.
Girls singles: Shazfa SK (Odisha) beat Anushka Saha (WB) 6-1, 6-1.
