Organised jointly by the Department of Sports & Youth Services, Government of Odisha and Odisha Athletics Association, the three-day State Junior Championship is being conducted separately for the first time. Earlier, both junior and senior state meets were taking place together.

BOYS-16: High jump: 1. Satyasagar Padhan (Sambalpur), 2. Anshu Bag (Sundargarh) and Udit Kumar Santi (Keonjhar). Shot put: 1. Dasmat Murmu (Keonjhar), 2. Jayadeep Narayan (Keonjhar), 3.
